The Gordon Highlanders Great War Tapestry

13 July

Designed by Andrew Crummy, following research from local people, this three panel tapestry commemorates and recognises the achievements of the Gordon Highlanders Regiment from its raising as a regiment on 10th February 1974 to fight at Waterloo, during the Great War and up to its amalgamation with the Scottish Regiment. The tapestry will remain the property of the Gordon Highlanders museum and, on completion, will be used by the education officer to support the teaching of the history, contribution and achievements of the regiment.
