The Imperial State Crown
This stunning kit, inspired by The Imperial State Crown, has been designed by the Flanders Tapestry Collection and is created with pure British wools by Appletons. The Imperial State Crown is one of the Crown Jewels of Great Britain and is the one worn when the monarch leaves Westminster Abbey after the coronation. It will be recognised as the one displayed on Queen Elizabeth’s coffin at her lying in state, and as the one worn on many state occasions.
Suitable for novice and experienced stitchers alike, the kit contains detailed instructions, a colour-printed canvas (14 count), a needle and all the 2-ply Appletons crewel wool you will need. When complete, the finished tapestry measures 33cm square.
Should you wish to turn it into a cushion, be aware that backing fabric is not included.
